What is Suited For Success?
Suited For Success is a non-profit corporation that provides professional business clothing and more casual work appropriate attire at no charge to women in Central Oklahoma. We rely on private donations and volunteerism to drive our mission of helping women achieve economic self-sufficiency and better lives for themselves and their families.
Suited For Success exists to make these things possible, but it’s your support that makes them happen. Please take a look at our Wish List or our How You Can Help page to see how you might help us achieve our mission.
Who are your clients?
Our clients are women in the Oklahoma City area who are in need of clothing assistance. Most of the women we help will have completed job training and are actively seeking employment, but we also help women who already have a job and are in need of clothing for work.
How do you find your clients?
Our clients are referred to us by our Community Partners, we sometimes get calls from women who found us on the internet. We see Clients by appointment only. We try to schedule one hour appointments, one client at a time, on Wednesdays between 3 and 6. Other times can be scheduled if needed.
Where are you located?
We are located in Oklahoma City at 7300 NW 23rd, Suite 220, on the 2nd floor of the OECU building.
What kind of clothing do you accept?
Suited For Success appreciates your donation of professional and work-appropriate clothing and accessories. Due to limited resources, we are unable to clean or repair damaged clothing. Please ensure clothing is neatly folded or hung, new or gently worn, in season, and clean (no stains, tears & with all buttons), with sizes clearly marked. We do not accept clothing in trash bags. We accept:
Suits (skirt and pant suits)
Blazers & Jackets
Blouses
Dresses
Slacks and Skirts
Scrubs
Maternity Clothing
Coats and Outerwear
Work Appropriate Jeans and Casual Shirts
Shoes
Accessories (jewelry, belts, scarves, gloves, purses etc.)
Unopened make-up
Is my donation tax-deductible? Do you provide a tax receipt?
Yes, Suited For Success is a charitable non-profit organization. All contributions of clothing and accessories are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We do not assess the value of your donation as that is the privilege and responsibility of the donor.
What do you do with donations?
At this time we prefer all donations to be suitable for Suiting our Clients. When we receive items that are not suitable for our clients' needs, we will pass them on to other nonprofit organizations.
Do you pick-up donations?
No, unfortunately we cannot pick-up donations at this time. We hope you can call to schedule a time to meet at our location to drop off your donations.
Do you accept bags or boxes of clothing?
Clothing needs to be on hangers, or neatly folded. We do not accept clothing in trash bags. Clothing needs to be neatly folded or hung, clean and pressed, ready to wear to a job or interview. Shoes, accessories, unopened makeup and toiletries should be in bags or boxes.
Do you accept men’s clothing?
Not at this time. We encourage you to donate these items to another charitable organization.
